08.30 am Depart Port Douglas marina for a day on the Great Barrier Reef. Hotel Pickups in Port Douglas are included, Pickups ex Cairns accomodation available at extra cost
09.40 am Snorkellers on Poseidon can visit 3 DIFFERENT LOCATIONS on the Great Barrier Reef's Outer Reef. Snorkellers enjoy UNRESTRICTED EXPLORATION of shallow lagoons, spectacular dropoffs & an unbelievable variety of fragile corals and colourful fish life.
Beginner Snorkellers on the Great Barrier Reef are provided with flotation devices and given personal one on one in-water assistance by our experienced and helpful guides.
Noon Buffet Lunch
  Our SNORKEL ADVISOR teaches proper use of the snorkel equipment and safe snorkelling techniques.
A well researched and informative talk on the biology and history of the reef is followed by a GUIDED SNORKEL TOUR where the wonders of the coral reefs are explained and identified.

Introductory Dive

NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY to enjoy the thrill of scuba diving on the Great Barrier Reef under the safe control & supervision of our highly qualified PADI Dive Instructors.
An Introductory dive on the Great Barrier Reef is often THE HIGHLIGHT of a visitor's holiday in Australia.

Introductory divers can enjoy up to 3 DIVES at 3 DIFFERENT SITES on the Great Barrier Reef in small personal groups of 4 people per instructor. CHILDREN 12 years and over can also enjoy this Great Barrier Reef experience. Certain medical conditions and medications may preclude some people from diving on the Great Barrier Reef please check with Poseidon's office.


Certified Dives

FOR THE ADVENTUROUS EXPLORER - 3 guided dives at some of the best Great BarrieOuter Reef sites the
Great Barrier Reef has to offer. Dive sites include WALLS, PINNACLES, CORAL GARDENS
with a spectacular variety of fish and coral life all at the very edge of the Great Barrier Reef.

Because of our roving permit, the MANY DIFFERENT DIVE SITES we can choose from are on
the Agincourts, St Crispins, Opal and the Sisters Reefs.

Great Barrier Reef Dive sites are chosen for the day dependant upon weather, tidal conditions and general experience of the divers. Great Barrier Reef Dives take place from the main vessel at our mooring site, a live boat DRIFT DIVE back to the main vessel or from our dive tender for more inaccessible dive sites.

To make the most of your Great Barrier Reef dive, we provide DIVE COMPUTERS and LARGE TANKS (75 or 88 cf tanks) which allows more time underwater on the Great Barrier Reef.

Certified divers are required to produce their Certification Cards and complete paperwork once
on board with our DIVE MASTER briefing the divers on the site, their equipment and safety procedures

Prescription masks $5 hire per day
Wetsuits for snorkellers $5 hire per day pay
