All Passengers using the services of Great Barrier Reef Online do so under these terms & conditions as advised on each suppliers brochure and on this website and each supplier's website.

All transactions involving Great Barrier Reef Online are deemed to be made directly with the respective vendors of the products and services selected. For the booking facilities provided Great Barrier Reef Online is operated by KKAM Pty Ltd trading as Great Barrier Reef Online in Queensland and as Great Barrier Reef.au.com we shall not be involved in any claim or dispute or be liable for any loss or damage that may arise in relation to such operations & transactions.

Validity of the current brochure & website pricing is only for travel until until 31/3/2005, pricing for Travel 1 April until 31 March 2006 is available from the company upon request.

Payment Methods - Payment can be made by Cash, AU$ Travellers Cheque, Visa, Bankcard of Mastercard. AMEX cards will attract a 4% surcharge for processing, non-refundable in case of trip cancellation.

Cancellation Policy  - cancellations made greater than 24 hours before travel may be made without penalty,  a full refund will be guaranteed if the booking is cancelled greater than 24 hours before travel (as logged in our system audit and meaning earlier than 04:00am the day before)  And/Or or if we the operator cancel due to weather conditions.

Cancellations and "no shows" less than 24 hours prior to travel may attract a 100% cancellation fee (no refund) at Hot Air's discretion.

Payment Processing & refund - Payment will be taken upon receipt of the details on our secure sever, this will confirm your booking and seat.  A full refund of a prepaid booking will be guaranteed if you cancel your booking greater than 24 hours before travel (as logged in our system audit and meaning earlier than 04:00am the day before) .  Our phone reservations operate 24x7  

Also a full refund of a prepaid booking will be guaranteed if we the tour operator cancel due to weather conditions.   Credit card charges will appear on your statement as "Beachsand Pty Ltd Cairns"

Credit Card declined ? If your credit card payment cannot be authorised by us earlier than 7 days prior to travel, our system will automatically cancel your reservation, because you may already be travelling we cannot guarantee that we are able to contact you in this case, but will make every effort to do so.  You will know we have authorised your payment because you will have a Booking confirmation reference number from us.

Disabled passengers should check with the company directly before travel for safety reasons

Those persons diving the day before ballooning travel should check with a qualified divemaster regarding their ballooning journey.

Some tours may have an additional levy applicable, for Great Barrier Reef Tax to enter the great Barrier Reef Marine park, and National Parks levy for rafting or for ballooning a compulsory, additional Civil Aviation Insurance levy applies to all passengers regardless of age and is normally collected on the day of travel during breakfast. This levy may vary from time to time at the discretion of the company but will be contracted at the time a booking is taken from you.

Childrens' Ages - Each company/supplier listed on this website has varying child's ages, please confirm on booking with Great Barrier Reef Online. Normally up to and including the age of 13 will be treated as a child and age 14 and above will be treated as an adult fare. Some tours have a minimum age for travel - for rafting this is age 13, for ballooning the minimum acceptable for children to travel on the balloons is age FIVE and above, for safety and enjoyment reasons.

Cancellations - made greater than 24 hours before travel may be made without penalty. 

Days of Operation - Great Barrier Reef Online operates daily, all year around with the exception of New Years Day and Christmas Day - some of the tours may not operate on particular day eg Christmas Day or New Years day, this will normally be stated on the relevant itinerary page but we will advise you in any case when making a booking.

Aviation Insurance in Australia is governed by the Civil Aviation (Carriers' Liability) Act 1964 (Qld) Further details may be found at the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) site and in particular here.
